The following article was a contribution by the entire Groger Ranks staff and many members of the HSQB community who helped out with this poll. Thank you.
Over the last few weeks, we at Groger Ranks have been running our first postseason poll of the national high school quizbowl circuit. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic led the season to an abrupt end, and we wanted one final poll akin to the traditional pre-nationals poll we would’ve otherwise done to bring a sense of closure to the season. This poll was made up of 20 ballots ranking the top 30 teams. We dropped the two highest and two lowest positions each team was ranked in order to have the most accurate results and eliminate anomalies. The 2019-20 HSQB Postseason Poll results was brought to you by our subscribers on Patreon, namely:

Congratulations to University Lab A from Urbana, IL for being the top ranked team in the 2019-20 Postseason Poll! While quite a few ballots ranked other teams for their first place choice, in the end Uni Lab had quite a lead to secure their position as the team with the most votes. Uni Lab had also been voted the #1 team in the preseason and midseason polls, definitely pointing towards their strength this season.
We have also uploaded a podcast in which we discuss these and other teams on a regional basis. You can find it here: https://soundcloud.com/groger-ranks/2019-20-groger-ranks-postseason-podcast
Thanks everyone for your support of Groger Ranks this year, and we hope to return next year where we will hopefully have in-person tournaments finally resume. Stay safe everyone in these uncertain times.
