Now that we are heading even closer to nationals season, and with our pre-nationals poll out, we thought having a series of specialized rankings would help out prospective voters. We will be releasing rankings isolated to “Hard Sets”, mACF, and NAQT so people can see a more detailed view of each team. Each of these rankings come with their own new corresponding adjustments as well, which we will paste, and will all utilize weighted rankings.
Hard Sets are useful indicators to a team’s performance at nationals as they indicate a team’s ability to “scale up”. While the relatively higher adjustments for harder sets as compared to lower sets for Groger Ranks should ideally accomplish this as well, we thought it would be interesting for people to see how an isolated sample of only hard sets would allow the rankings to turn out.
